Three low priority areas were investigated in the Takengon quadrangle because of their proximity to a more important area being studied. These areas-Panomon, Kebyaran and keuretu -were suggested as follow-up targets on the basis of geochemical anomalies found during the regional geochemical survey of the north Sumatra Project (NSP).
