Komentar Bagikan
G. A. De Neve

Efforts to compile a more comprehensive bibliography on the ill- famed Krakatau volcano are presently more rewarding than in the pre- viously given attsapts (Van Barem, 1931; Brodie, 1982; Da Nova, 1936, 1953; Kusumadinata et al., 1979; Nourn van Padang, 1951; Ongkosongo & Suwardi, 1981; and Soagiarto & Soegiarto, 1983). M. ALZWART. SuhandaA. Sudradjat

Krakatau Volcanic Complex located in Sunda Strait, Indonesia, erupted catastrophically in 1883. The eruption was preceeded by the increasing number of seismicity during the last 7 years prior to the eruption. The initial stage of the eruption was indicated by the ash outburst of Perbu- atan volcano in May and followed by another activity in the area south of Danan Volcano in July, 1883. Ashes i…

What does a disastrous volcano have to do with tourism? Before a volcano is looked upon with fear because of the damage it caused, it is necessary to see all volcanic damage in perspective : According to Cliff0llier : " In the past 500 years volcanoes have probably killed, directly or indirectly over 200.00 people of who, about half died in the eruptions of Tambora, Krakatau, Mont Pelee. The Bilotic Population Of The Sunda Strait
Komentar Bagikan
D.P. Praseno dkk.

The Sunda Strait is narrow and shallow in the eastern part, but wide and deep in the western part. The strait connects the Jawa Sea and the Indian Ocean. It is filled with mixed saline water from the Jawa Sea during all months but November, so that virtually no influence of the Indian Ocean is noted in the western part of the Jawa Sea (Suriaatmadja 1956).
