Mudstones (interbedded clay, silt and very fine grained quartz sandstone) and coal beds were encountered as intercalations in the quartz sandstone beds. Its bedding plane could rather well be measured, morover on the contact rocks. Brown to black clays (carbonaceous clays/shales)nwere found under the coal beds.
