The wavefields generated by strombolion activity are investigated using data from small-aperture (120-600 m) seismic arrays deployed on the north flank of Stromboli and data from seismic and pressure transducers set up near the summit crater.
Tama lakes area is located in the saddle between Mt. Ngauruhoe and Mt. Ruapehu Tongariro Volcanic Centre, Taupo Volcanic Zone. The TVZ is situated about 80 km above the westward-dipping Wadati-Benioff zone where the Pasific plate is being subducted beneath TVZ crust.

The Guntur-Gandapura Volcanic Complex is part of a clustur of active volcanoes forming a chain in the southern part of West Java, regionally belonging to the western part of the Sunda arc. The Complex, 60 km center (2.249 m) being the highest peak and Guntur cone (1.950 m) the most active and the youngest cone of the Complex.
The volcanic rocks mainly consist of lava flows and pyroclastic deposits that are exposed at the bridgewater, Nelson and Grant volcanis compoxes.
