Pengamatan seismik di Pos Pengamatan Gunungapi Iya Tewejangga Ende, dilakukan dengan seismograp Elektromagnit. Selama April 1985 sampai dengan Desember 1985 pengoperasian pesawat seismograp dilakukan sebanyak 249 hari dari 275 hari yang ada. Selama 249 hari itu, pengamatan dengan sistem tripartit net dilakukan sebanyak 76 hari. Sedangkan 173 harinya hanya dilakukan dengan 1 komponen vertikal.
