The "Gkpf" pyroclastic flow deposots surrounding Tangkubanparahu volcano are non welded pyroclastic flows (ignimbrite) that cover an area of 200 km2. A simple calculation of the material lost during the formation of the Sunda caldera is 66 km3. The age of carbonized lost preserved in the deposit was 38,300 years. Mt. Bromo - Tengger is al caldera complex located some 45km to the south of Probolinggo, East Java, Indonesia. There are at least two calderas Ngadisari and Sandsea which are 8x8 km and 6x7 km in size respectively.
