In August, 1984, Robert Y. Koyanagi, Seismologist, and George Kojima, Electronics Technician were missioned to Indonesia to evaluate the radio telemetered seismic network (RTS) at Merapi Volcano Observatory located at Yogyakarta in Central Java.
