Laporan Akhir Proyek Perluasan Sistem Telemetri di Gunung Kelut Tahun 1977-1978

Maksud proyek 1977-1978 ini adalah untuk memperluas proyek sebelumnya, yakni proyek 1976-1977. Proyek yang terakhir ini bertujuan membuat sistem telemetri (Kawah Gunung Kelut - Margomulyo) untuk mengukur sebuah variabel saja yakni suhu pada titik dekat outlet air kawah Gunung Kelut.

Maksud pengukuran suhu danau kawah Kelut adalah untuk mengetahui penyebaran panas di danau secara keseluruhan (di muka danau, di dasar danau dan di daerah batang tubuh), dan langkah berikutnya untuk menetapkan tempat-tempat pengukuran suhu di dasar danau untuk kemudian hari dilakukan secara teratur setiap bulan.

Sehubungan dengan banjir (lahar) di daerah Perkebunan Gambar yang merusak 15 ha daerah perkebunan, dan 60 buah rumah terlanda diantaranya 4 rumah hanyut dan 7 rumah tertimbun pasir sehingga diadakan pemindahan rumah secara lokal, maka beberapa orang petugas ditugaskan ke daerah tersebut dari tgl. 10-12-76 s/d 23-12-76.
