As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the competence of laboratory personnel, the Laboratory of the Centre for Mineral Resources, Coal, and Geothermal (PSDMBP), Geological Agency, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, organised a training programme on SNI ISO/IEC 17043:2023 (Conformity assessment-General requirements for the competence of proficiency testing providers) and SNI ISO 13528:2022 (Statistical methods for use in proficiency testing by interlaboratory comparison) from 13 to 16 July 2026.

Held at the Lantanum Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, Building B of the PSDMBP Laboratory in Bandung, the training was attended by 40 participants from the PSDMBP Laboratory. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dra Evita Boes, M.Si., an ISO expert, trainer, and consultant, who also serves as an assessor for the National Accreditation Committee (KAN).

As reflected in its title, the training was designed to strengthen participants' understanding of the requirements for organising proficiency testing and the application of statistical methods in accordance with the latest Indonesian National Standards (SNI). Mastery of SNI ISO/IEC 17043:2023 and SNI ISO 13528:2022 is essential for maintaining the quality of laboratory services, reinforcing the implementation of quality management systems, and supporting the continuous fulfilment of laboratory accreditation requirements.

The training materials were divided into two main sections. During the first two days, participants studied SNI ISO/IEC 17043:2023 comprehensively, beginning with an introduction to the standard, followed by general requirements covering impartiality, confidentiality, and organisational structure, as well as resource requirements and the processes involved in conducting proficiency testing. The sessions also addressed proficiency testing scheme planning, statistical design, the establishment of assigned values, the production and distribution of proficiency testing items, data analysis, participant performance evaluation, report preparation, process control, the handling of nonconforming work, complaint and appeal management, and management system requirements.

On the third and fourth days, the training focused on SNI ISO 13528:2022, which specifies statistical methods for proficiency testing. The topics covered included the general principles of statistical methods, approaches to participant performance evaluation, the fundamentals of statistical design, homogeneity and stability testing of proficiency test items, the application of robust statistical methods, the determination of assigned values and standard deviations, the establishment of performance evaluation criteria, and practical exercises on statistical calculations, homogeneity and stability testing, assigned value determination, participant result evaluation, and the preparation of proficiency testing reports.

Sebagai bagian dari upaya meningkatkan kompetensi personel laboratorium, Laboratorium Pusat Sumber Daya Mineral, Batubara, dan Panas Bumi (PSDMBP), Badan Geologi, Kementerian Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral, menyelenggarakan Pelatihan Pemahaman SNI ISO/IEC 17043:2023 (Uji Banding Antar Laboratorium Berbasiskan Penilaian Kesesuaian-Persyaratan Umum Kompetensi Penyelenggara Uji Profisiensi) dan SNI ISO 13528:2022 (Metode Statistik untuk Penggunaan dalam Uji Profisiensi melalui Perbandingan Antarlaboratorium) pada 13-16 Juli 2026.

Kegiatan yang berlangsung di Ruang Rapat Lantanum, Gedung B Lantai 2 Laboratorium PSDMBP, Bandung, ini diikuti oleh 40 peserta dari lingkungan Laboratorium PSDMBP dengan bimbingan narasumber Dra. Evita Boes, M.Si., expert, trainer, dan konsultan ISO sekaligus asesor Komite Akreditasi Nasional (KAN).

Seperti yang termaktub di tajuk kegiatannya, pelatihan ini ditujukan untuk memperkuat pemahaman peserta terhadap persyaratan penyelenggaraan uji profisiensi serta penerapan metode statistik sesuai standar nasional terbaru. Penguasaan SNI ISO/IEC 17043:2023 dan SNI ISO 13528:2022 merupakan unsur penting dalam menjaga mutu layanan laboratorium, memperkuat penerapan sistem manajemen mutu, serta mendukung pemenuhan persyaratan akreditasi laboratorium secara berkelanjutan.

Materi pelatihan dibagi ke dalam dua kelompok pembahasan. Pada dua hari pertama, peserta diajak untuk mempelajari SNI ISO/IEC 17043:2023 secara komprehensif, mulai dari pengenalan standar, persyaratan umum yang mencakup aspek ketidakberpihakan, kerahasiaan, dan struktur organisasi, persyaratan sumber daya dan proses penyelenggaraan uji profisiensi. Selain itu, dibahas pula perencanaan skema uji profisiensi, desain statistik, penetapan nilai yang ditetapkan (assigned value), produksi dan distribusi objek uji profisiensi, analisis data, evaluasi kinerja peserta, penyusunan laporan, pengendalian proses, penanganan pekerjaan yang tidak sesuai, pengelolaan keluhan dan banding, serta persyaratan sistem manajemen.

Selanjutnya, pada hari ketiga dan keempat, pelatihan difokuskan pada pemahaman SNI ISO 13528:2022 yang mengatur metode statistik untuk pelaksanaan uji profisiensi. Materi yang disampaikan meliputi prinsip-prinsip umum metode statistik, pendekatan evaluasi kinerja peserta, dasar-dasar desain statistik, pengujian homogenitas dan stabilitas objek uji, penerapan metode statistik robust, penetapan nilai acuan dan simpangan baku, penentuan kriteria evaluasi kinerja, hingga praktik perhitungan statistik, pengujian homogenitas dan stabilitas, penetapan nilai acuan, evaluasi hasil peserta, serta penyusunan laporan hasil uji profisiensi.
