Banjir lahar di daerah G. Sermora pada tanggal 20 September 1978 terjadi akibat turun hujan torus nemoras solana 4 (empat) hari, so-Jak tanggal 19 September 1978. Kejadian tersebut dimuat dalam surat Kabar SIHAR HARAPAN pada tanggal 27 September dan Harian KOMPAS pa da tanggal 28 September 1978, bahwa Besuksat-K. Hujur dan K. Láp-rak dilalui oleh banjir tersebut.
