Mining Indonesia
The Mining Indonesia Conference, Jakarta November 22-25, 1995 coincided with a very important historic national event. It had been organized by IMA as the final program of the 50th year oflndonesia's independence celebrations. The conference discussed and presented the status and potential of mining into the next century. The conference also reviewed the challenges of the Indonesian second long-term development era and the globalization and liberalization of trade and economy. The papers that were presented cover national policies and programs, and other aspects of the mineral and mining industry. The second part of this book includes the Mining Indonesia Directory. As such, this book will be a good reference for all parties involved and interested in Indonesian mining development. IMA and the Editors acknowledge the support and cooperation of the Department of Mines and Energy for the success of the conference.
