ASEAN energy review

Since its establishment in November, 1988, AEEMTRC has been involved in promoting enhanced energy management and energy policy-making in ASEAN through its research, training, and information programmes. The collection and integration of the region's energy data was mandated to AEEMTRC upon the adoption by the Senior Officials. on Energy Cooperation of a common Energy Reporting Format covering energy supply, transformation, demand, trade; etc. Any significant study or research on energy management and energy policy in ASEAN will have to be based on accurate, comprehensive, and consistent data, which the ASEAN Energy Review capsulizes for its readers. That is why AEEMTRC takes its role as collector, processor, integrator, and custodian of the energy database in ASEAN seriously. These same data supply the baseline information requirements of the Centre's in-house programmes described in the brief write-up on AEEMTRC at the start of this book.
