Electrical consumption in Indonesia, especially in the back country such as District Ende, Flores - Nusa Tengara Timur, is rising as well as its physical and infrastructure development, and its community standard of living. Therefore, the electrical consumption of PT. PLN (Persero) of XI Region, especially PT. PLN (Persero) of Ende, Flores, has to be considered.
The electrical power station of PT. PLN (Persero) of Ende Region is served by Diesel machine (PLTD). The treatment cost ofits operation, however,_is very high.
PT. PLN (Persero) of XI Region has 160 diesel electric generators spreaded in Flores island with its high deficit every year. InEnde, PT. PLN operates the PLTD Mautapaga with 8 diesels and its capacity of2905 KW.
Geothermal energy source is found in Sukoria, Ende, indicated by its fumarola/solfatara and hot spring in Mutu Busa - Sukoria, Njopu, Ndetusoko and others. Geothermal power could be used to replace the diesel electric power. Therefore, the geosecience study of• PLTP - Micro of Sukoria, Regenci Ndona, District Ende, Flores. Nusa Tenggara Timur, is done as the introduction of feasibilitystudy of PLTP
