The Population around the coastal area live in general at the hogher levelled dunes in the utmost North close to the border of the sand and alluvial clay deposits. From the Kali Progo until Kali Bogowonto there are the Village of Siliran, Bugel, Fleret, Karangwuni, Glagah, Palian, Sindutan and Djangaran whicih belong to 3 districsts resp. Djalur, Pandjatan and Temon. The inhabitants are all farmers cultivating the coastal area with seasonal palnts (tuber, maize and other). so, apart from inhabitting partly the dune-sand hills in the North, the peaple convert the iron sand deposits in the South into an agricultural area.
