The International Peat Society - Nama Orang;

An aapa mire was investigated peat geologically. Based on about 1500 volumentric peat samples, the depth, peat types, degree of decomposition (V. Post's methods), bulk density, water content and shear strength were examined along an 800 m transcet. The calorific value was determined from 58 respresentative peat samples from the same transect, as well as the degree of decomposition using two standard laboratory methods (unrubbed fiber content and pyrophosphate index)
