What does a disastrous volcano have to do with tourism? Before a volcano is looked upon with fear because of the damage it caused, it is necessary to see all volcanic damage in perspective : According to Cliff0llier : " In the past 500 years volcanoes have probably killed, directly or indirectly over 200.00 people of who, about half died in the eruptions of Tambora, Krakatau, Mont Pelee. This toll is in fact very low when compared with those of earthquakes, flooda, wars, or road accidents.
