Report of Official Field Trip to Some Volcanoes in Indonesia , Post Krakatau Symposium

The post-meeting trips arranged for a guided by VSI sci- entists were a great success, and at the outset I'd like to convey the thanks from my colleagues, and from myself, for extending this considerable hospitality and courtesy to us. Each and every one of the participants: Fiske, Simkin, Stoiber, Williams, Glicken, Yokoyama, Punongbayan the Banks, Rosengren, and of course Mary Ann and I, were delighted and grateful for the chance to see som much a short time, and to get to knows the respective VSI scien tists who were our guides. I'll try to summarise the highlights of our trips, and to include a few anecdotes as I go.
