The breach in the f flank did not originate at once, but in several phases. At the time the though liquid lava looked for a way to the surface, she found the former entrances janned. The canal, through which the lava of the W plug came up and which during aruption erupti phase of 1920 21 still served as way out, was closed now. During the rest period of a few years, the lava han been actually so cooled and becoming solid, that the renewed activity of the magna was hindered by it, which was not to be replaced. She broke through side wards.
