Tangkuban Perahu volcano located in West Java is one of the active volcanoes in Indonesia. Due to its activity that is quite recent in geological terms dan its close proximity to the two big cities, Bandung (20 km south of the volcano) one of the most densely populated and Subang (27 km north of the volcano), it makes crucial reason to study its eruptive history in order to forecast the volcanic behavior in the future.
