Pyroclastic Flow Deposits Erupted By The 1815 Tambora : Distribution, Characteristic of The Deposits and Interpretation of The 1815 Eruption Mechanism
The main poducts of the gigantic Tambora Volcano (Sumbawa island, Indonesia) eruption were geologically pyroclastic deposits containing 67.5 cubic kilometers in magmatic material volume. The eruption had a counted release energy of 8.4 x 10 (26) erg causing 92,000 people killed. At Tambora area, the deposits are dominated by pyoclastic flow comparing to the pyroclatic airfall deposits with the magma composition of andestitic (56.2-56.4%) of Sio2).
