Between the island Great Sangi in the N and Siau in the S from sea a great amount of small island and cliffs emerge, known under the name karakitang islands. When we consider these island and cliff complexes nearre, then we can caryy through from N to S. All these islands and cliffs are built up of young volcanic rocks and teh ini recent time still active submarine volcano Banua Wuhu lets no doubt on the mode of their origin.
