USGS/USAID Suport of the Seismic Program at the Merapi Volcano Observatory, May - June 1988.

The purpose of this assignment wa to provvide support to the seissmic program at the Merapi Vulcano Observatory (MVO) of the Vulcanological Survey of Indonesia (VSI). Instrument maintenance and data analysis support were provided for by Bruce Furukawa and Bob Koyanagi between 13 to 24 May; additional assistance in instrument maintenance was provi MVO ed by Furukawa from 25cMay to 9June. Logistical support was administered by Tom Casadevall, with support at MVO furnished by Scientist-in-charge Dr. Irwan Bahar and seismologist Antonius Ratdomopurbo.
