Increase in Volcanic Activity Due To Static Strain Change Associated With Tectonic Earthquakes
The tectonic earthquakes may cause an increase in volcanic activity due to stress change. Volcano eruption is driven by internal and external forces. The initiating mechanisms of volcanic eruptions commonly include buoyancy, differentiation and vesiculation, injection of hot mafic magma into cooler evolved resident magma.
