There are various epigenetic mineralization types hosted by sedimentary rocks, one of them is recognized as Skarn Deposits. The Skarn (Au-Ag,Cu-Pb-Zn-Mn) type deposits are distributed in almost the whole Indonesia Island Arcs with the exception MOLLUCAS Islands. Nowdays the well known Cu-Au skarn type deposit found in Indonesia is occured in ERTSBERG, West Irian. The total reserved is about 550 Mi tonnes with 2.5 % Cu, and (1.5-2.5) gr/ton Au. The known MnO2 deposits are very few, some of them are occured in the Western Indonesia region, i.e. Karangnunggal deposit (West Java), and Kliripan deposit (Central Java). The MnO2 deposit found in the Eastern Indonesia region is only observed in DOI Island. This deposit is relatively bigger than those found in the Westrn Indonesia region. Based on the skarn type deposits and MnO2 deposits evidences, the Eastern Indonesia region is more promising and more potential for those type of deposits than those found in Western Indonesia regions
