A report: Attending the 1989 IAVCEI conference in the USA

The 1989 International Association of Volcanology and Chemistry of the of the Earth's Interior (IAVCEI) General Assembly was held in Santa Fe, New Mexico, 17 June -4 July 1989. Three of IAVCEI programs which I chose comprised the field excursion to Mt. St. Helens, Washington (25 June 1989); the IAVCEI conference at Sante Fe, New Mexico (25 June - 1 July 1989); and a short course of volcanic hazard at Santa Fe, New Mexico (2-3 July 1989). Those programs were interesting, because they closely relate to the things that I am studying at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.
