The Coke Problem Of The Indonesian Coals 1927

Altough before the war several concessions were already granted for the mining of iron ores in the East-Indies as for instence to the "Lampongsohe Exploratie Maatacheppij" (Lampong Exploratie Company) in the Lampong Distriots (South Sumatra) and to the Swiss Mining-engineer E.de Stoutz on the island of Seboekoe, near Poelelaut (S.E.Borneo0-the conei-deration,however,whether these iron ores could possibly provide at the same time the basis for the fondation of a domestic iron-indusrty, has not been conspiouous so far.
