The East Kalimantan Coal Project Report On The Coal Geology Of Loa Kulu And Loa Haur
At present, some 98% of Indonesia's energy requirements come from oil and natural gas, exports of which bring in about 70% of total foreign exchange earnings. As the country develops, so energy needs grow. If this growth can be supplied, at least in part, by non-oil sources, so much more oil is released to earn vital foreign exchange. This is the context of the efforts of the Ministry of Mines and Energy (1979), With in the third 5-year Development plan to develop other energy resources including coal.
