The area surveyed is dominated by pretertiary Woyla Group Rock Consisting of a succession of volcanics and sediments with calcareous units. This group is intruded by the miocene geunteut granodiorite.There have been several previous mineral investigations of this area producing conflicting conclusions.Streams not previously sampled give good geochemical anomalies,and parts of the area are recommended for follow-up as there are indications of skarn-type gold mineralisation.
