The Hutabargot survey area is a few kilometers west of kecamatan panyabungan on the western side of the batang gadis river. The region was investigated in 1978 as part of the NSP and during this time occurrences of Cu,Pb,Zn,Au and Ag were recoreded in the Tertiary volcanics. This present survey was to investigate geochemical anomalies found during the NSP work and to assess the significance of any mineralisation. The work has consisted of a follow-up drainage basin survey collecting stream sediment and panned concentrate samples.
