Papandayan volcano, west Jawa, Indonesia has repeated phreatic eruptions. Temporary seismic observations were carried out at papandayan volcano when volcanic activity inccreased in 1998. During the period of june-july 1998, some quasi-monotonic events with long coda part of slow decay were recorded by 8 stations.

The main poducts of the gigantic Tambora Volcano (Sumbawa island, Indonesia) eruption were geologically pyroclastic deposits containing 67.5 cubic kilometers in magmatic material volume.
